May in South Haven means fish!

The Fishing here can be described as some of the best in the State, if not the best.  In the past I've averaged as many as 20.5 fish per charter.  In the May of 2000 we boated 10.4 fish per charter excursion  Huge schools of eager to hit Chinook (King) Salmon, Steelhead (or Rainbows), Brown Trout,  Lake Trout to the 25 lb. mark and the Coho Salmon will fill the box.  If you've never been on charter before this is hard to beat the fast paced action available here.

Half Day Charters Guests with their limits of great eating Salmon and Trout

The action here is fast paced as the fish attack our baits with absolutely no regard for their personal safety.  Be ready to get your own rod when a the fish bangs the lure.  Double and triple headers can be common place!  South Haven in May is a Charter Captain's dream, lots of fish and, of course very satisfied anglers.

When the spring Kings are on the prowl, you'll be hard pressed to keep up with the action offered.  While this season only lasts for about 3 weeks, you'll experience some of the best Salmon fishing on this planet called, Earth.  No place, and I repeat no place can rival the numbers of fish southern Lake Michigan has to offer.  This is no exaggeration by an over zealous charter operator looking for business either......this a verifiable fact with the Michigan's DNR in the Public Records Office in Lansing.
